Construction of a new residential and commercial building - SynkoElast®
During the construction of a residential and commercial building in Magdeburg the building company Toepel Bauunternehmung GmbH was faced with the following challenge: The basement walls had to be erected from October to December 2017 on an approx. 1800 m² in-situ concrete base plate.
The floor slab of the building comprised two sections with different heights. A lower underground parking area and an area about one meter higher with apartment basements. The two height sections of the floor slab were concreted in October 2017 in two sections with waterproof in-situ concrete. The well-proven SynkoElast® from B.T. innovation GmbH was inserted directly into the fresh in-situ concrete as a roll product to seal the construction joints between both areas of the floor slab as well as between the floor slab and the walls. The big advantage of this construction method with SynkoElast® compared to the joint plates is the quick installation without any auxiliary means.
In the vertical joints between the double wall elements, SynkoElast® crack control profiles were inserted and connected to the SynkoElast® in the floor slab in the foot area. Thus, a closed sealing with SynkoElast® was realised.
