New construction of a pipe shaft - BT-Spannschloss® and RubberElast®
Since the permit to operate the old tailings pile of the company K+S KALI GmbH in Zielitz will expire in a few years and the intake capacities are almost exhausted, it must be expanded to further secure and promote potash mining. The implementation of the large-scale project is slowly starting in 2020 and BT innovation is also involved.
Recently, our BT-Spannschloss® & RubberElast® were used in the construction of a new pipe shaft for the planned expansion of the spoil heap in Zielitz. Regardless of the weather situation, precast concrete elements can be joined together in seconds using the BT-Spannschloss® and immediately sealed with RubberElast® during the process, as was the case with this project. The precast concrete parts were produced in advance by P.V. Betonfertigteilwerke GmbH, a long-standing BT customer who relies on the BT turnbuckle®. The competent advice from BT and the performance of the product were again decisive in the decision for the connection method. The construction was carried out by the company ITB Ingenieurtiefbau GmbH. The installation team was pleased with the time saved and the easier work during the installation of the precast concrete elements.
