What does this product have to offer?
AgrarElast is used to seal storage and filling facilities with substances generally hazardous to water. Due to new legal environmental regulations, especially the regulation AwSV (Ordinance on Installations for the Handling of Substances Hazardous to Water, effective since August 1st, 2017), silage clamps must be specially sealed.
Your advantages
- Sealing joints between concrete - concrete, asphalt - concrete and asphalt - asphalt
- Accessible / walkable
- High permissible deformation of 12.5%
- Very high temperature resistance compared to sealants based on PU and bitumen
- Weather and UV resistance
- Simple and safe processing
- Stable with only slight shrinkage
- Approval (abZ: Z-74.62-176) from the German Institute for Building Technology (DIBt)
- Solvent-free, isocyanate-free
Product details
For the renovation and new construction of facilities for the storage and filling of liquid manure, slurry and silage leachate (JGS) – mobile silos, fermentation feed silos and solid manure plates – as well as biogas plants, only construction products may be used that have the corresponding building authority approvals.
In order to meet the high requirements for the permanent sealing of JGS plants, the joint sealant AgrarElast is subject to regular product monitoring and material testing. In addition, AgrarElast is a joint sealing system approved by the DIBt building authorities (Z-74.62-176).
The newly developed product from BT innovation can thus be reliably used for sealing joints in JGS and biogas plants. AgrarElast is a sealant for sealing microbiologically and acid contaminated joints, for areas with composting and fermentation processes. The system can be used to seal silos, warehouses, concrete solid manure slabs and asphalt. The system is suitable for movement joints and is characterised by high temperature resistance.
The AgrarElast joint sealing system consists of the AgrarElast joint sealant and the primers A(sphalt) for asphalt, B(eton) for concrete and Primer S(tahl).
- Primer A is suitable for asphalt, asphalt concrete and bitumen. This product is a set consisting of components A+B.
- Primer B is suitable for concrete, metal and glass, for example .
- Primer S is a 1-component primer for the pre-treatment of non-porous substrates made of metal, in particular cast iron, cast steel and steel.
Areas of application for AgrarElast
- Sealant for microbiologically contaminated joints
- For areas with composting and fermentation
- Joints that come into contact with acid
- JGS and biogas plants, solid manure plates, fermentation feed silos, mobile silos, waste water plants

Primer A(sphalt) is a 2-component epoxy primer for the pre-treatment of bituminous substrates when joint sealing with AgrarElast. As a pre-treatment agent for asphalt surfaces, it is a component of the approved AgrarElast waterproofing system (approval Z 74.62-176).
Primer B(eton) is a 1-component primer for the pre-treatment of various substrates when using the sealant AgrarElast. As a pre-treatment agent for concrete surfaces, it is a component of the approved AgrarElast joint sealing system (approval Z 74.62-176).
Primer S(tahl) is a 1-component primer for the pre-treatment of non-porous substrates. As a pre-treatment agent for steel surfaces, it is a component of the approved AgrarElast joint sealing system (approval Z 74.62-176).
Observe the hazard and safety information on the safety data sheets of the AgrarElast and the primers.
Areas of application for AgrarElast
- Sealant for microbiologically contaminated joints

BT sealing products
In addition to AgrarElast, BT innovation has a wide range of products for permanent joint sealing of prefabricated concrete elements and in-situ concrete in agriculture or against pressing water. Only some of the work on JGS and biogas plants requires construction products with DIBt approval.
AgrarElast: joint sealant for JGS and biogas plants approved by DIBt since June 2019.
Agrar-SynkoElast is used for the sealing of storage and filling facilities with substances that are generally hazardous to water, e.g. JGS and biogas plants, slurry tanks, mobile silos, fermentation feed silos, waste water plants. Agrar-SynkoElast is a joint sealing system approved by the DIBt building authorities (Z-74.51-184).
InnoElast® Type 2Tested joint sealant for joints between concrete components, with which subsequent sealing is possible up to a water depth of 4.8 m.
SynkoElast®: Tested construction joint tape for in-situ concrete, with which sealing is possible up to a water depth of 20 m. In combination with the SynkoElast® crack profiles, closed seals can be safely created in cast-in-place concrete construction. DIBt approval for JGS and biogas plants has been applied for (application no.: II 71-1.74.51-67/18).
RubberElast®: Tested joint tape for fast and reliable sealing of even complex precast concrete joints up to 5 m water depth. DIBt approval for JGS and biogas plants has been applied for (application no.: II 71-1.74.51-72/18).
MultiElast: new tested joint tape for precast concrete elements and in-situ concrete, which can be used to seal precast elements up to a water depth of 10 m.
ProElast® system: Tested waterproofing system for waterproof concrete made of foil and foil adhesive, ideal for subsequent waterproofing against up to 20 m of rising water.
