Surface sealing for crack bridging in interior and exterior areas - LiquidElast® Type S and Type V
LiquidElast® is a universal, elastic, and water pressure-tight sealing against pressurised water for surfaces and joints in the entire construction sector. This single component sealant can be used internally and externally.
LiquidElast® is used as a surface, bonding, or joint sealant. After hardening, LiquidElast® forms a “rubber-like” waterproof membrane to protect the structural elements behind it. After hardening, the flexibility of LiquidElast® allows crack-bridging up to 5 mm. LiquidElast® can be applied to dry and damp concrete surfaces as low as 0°C structural element temperature (ice-free surfaces) and seals safely to a maximum water immersion depth of 10 m. LiquidElast® Type S (spreadable) is brushed onto the ground, while fluid LiquidElast® Type V (cast-ready) is poured onto horizontal surfaces or joints. Wherever an individual sealing membrane that is adapted to the structure is required as a surface barrier, even for pressurised water, LiquidElast® is the easiest solution.

1. Can I use LiquidElast® in the area with ground contact?
Yes. LiquidElast® is extremely well suited for use in the underground area. The product can be used per-manently and does not decompose over time, like competitor products. With LiquidElast®, you can create a water pressure-tight coating on your component in just 2 layers.We recommend that you lay a dimpled sheet or similar on the sealed component so that the sealing is not damaged when backfilling.
2. Does LiquidElast® have to be laid with a fleece?
Yes, whenever high resistance to water pressure is to be achieved, corners and projections are to be found and the crack bridging of 5 mm in width is to be achieved. For this purpose, a layer of LiquidElast® is applied to the component. The fleece is then rolled into the still fresh layer of LiquidElast®. After the first layer has hardened, a second layer of LiquidElast® is applied to the fleece. The fleece is thus soaked on both sides by LiquidElast® and provides permanent protection against moisture.
3. Can LiquidElast® be used as a roof sealing?
Not directly. LiquidElast® is only UV resistant to a limited extent and is designed for small mechanical stresses (e.g. hail). However, LiquidElast® can be used without restrictions as a bottom sealing with applied protection, without UV radiation and mecha-nical stress.
4. Are there any material incompatibilities?
In areas subject to chemical loads, please use our InnoElast 2, which has a high chemical resistance.
5. What tool should I use for rolling out and how is it best cleaned?
We recommend using a lambskin roller for rolling out LiquidElast® type S. It should be cleaned as soon as possible after use. Conventional solvents can be used for this. When choosing a lambskin roller, make sure that it cannot be destroyed by solvents.
