Reliable sealing of the pool
Water loss – is one of the biggest concerns a pool owner can have. In the long run, a leak would result in higher costs, due to more water loss and increasing need for chemicals. If there are large leaks, the walls of the pool or the foundations of adjacent houses can be washed out, compromising structural integrity. Because the maintenance costs of a private pool are not exactly insignificant, repairing it is probably more cost-effective than building a new one. If puddles form around the swimming pool or it loses water, then there is a high probability that the pool has a leak. To make sealing easier for you, B.T. innovation provides you with a solution.
BT waterproofing products are ideal for this purpose:
- To seal the pool permanently and reliably
- Repair leaks from the fairing or filter system

Common causes of leaks
No matter whether your pool is made of vinyl, fiberglass, concrete, or shotcrete, a crack can develop anywhere. However, they do not necessarily have to occur on the cladding. There may also be leaks in the filter system. In principle, a leak in any type of pool can develop into a crack or hole and thus threaten the stability of the pool.
Cracks are possible in concrete pools due to temperature fluctuations or ground movement. In contrast, with tiled pools, draining the pool too quickly can cause tremendous water pressure to still exist behind the tiles, causing them to crack. In addition, black joints in tiled pools are more susceptible to cracking in warm water temperatures.
A special feature of pools is the water treatment used for disinfection. This not only acts on bacteria and microorganisms, but can also affect various materials and seals. To reduce these effects, it is advisable to protect the waterproofing systems accordingly. This is usually done by using weldable pool / swimming pool liners, suitable coatings or by installing tiles.

You should pay attention to
If there is some manual dexterity and you want to seal your pool for the first time, here are a few more tips to help you get a positive result in the end.
Is there a leak?
In search of the hole should be sure in advance that the pool has a leak. It should be noted that water loss also depends on external factors such as air temperature and intensity of the sun. In addition, when jumping or romping in the pool, some water always spills out. Thus, the average demand for filling water of a pool per week is between 3% to 5%. For this reason, the water level should be monitored over a longer period of time.
The right condition
When applying the sealing material, the substrate must be free of dust, grease or oil. In addition, the substrate must be damp, but not wet, with a visible film. High air temperatures with a high absolute humidity are suitable for hardening the material more quickly. InnoElast® Type 2 is compatible with paints.
